Lorenzo Oggiano is an Italian artist who lives and works in Sardinia, known internationally.
So far he has got to deal with several projects linked by the use of digital photography, video and installations.
The variety of projects returns the manifold character of his research that is not limited to the specific use of digital media, but through this develops an investigation on the contemporary, addressing several issues. New technologies and expressive research are combined in his work, creating a very personal artistic language and multi-faceted. In particular, the “Cinematic Environment 3” video installation is part of the “Quasi-Objects” project, which began in 2003 and still in progress.
The project consists of prints and videos that start at a debate on the issues, much debated, linked to the relationship between technology and corporeality, about the real meaning of life, as the new and incessant discoveries and techno-organic developments.
The “Cinematic Environment 3” video installation is constructed with the use of modeling and 3D animation software and shows some hybrid bio-technology organisms, some “living objects” or “quasi-objects”, some technological ecosystems of imaginative and visionary charm.
