Project Description

Sub:ion is a project started by Pier Giuseppe Mariconda and Nicola Virnicchi that at the beginning of 2013 have created a 4 hands music project  combining analog and digital technologies ranging, both in the production that the performance, from dub to techno surrounded by fine electronics and experimental sounds.

Their first project Man Vs. Machine is a live techno produced and designed for machines and laptops in which it is possible to find different musical roots due from the  ’80s teutonic musical experimentation to the American cyber-techno . The project has been proposed along 2013 in different contexts from clubs to festivals. In September 2014 will be released their first EP Iron Scrap (Subwoofer/OTB records) as a result of this experience.

At Flussi Sub:Ion presents a new project Sub:Ion Goes Analog which involves the only use of analog machines merged into an EBM/Space dancefloor-oriented electronic jam during which a lot of space is left for improvisation: basic patterns which become a kind of jazz standards on which they can improvise ad libitum.
